Hydraflush is a revolutionary commercial flush valve which has been developed for Opella Ltd.

The patented system relies on the mains water inlet to lift a hydraulic piston, allowing a variable timed flush cycle which is operated via a battery powered unit. This unit has another key feature which is even more revolutionary than the valve itself. As mentioned the valve is only operated for a variable period, which is determined by the user. This takes place using our very own ‘proximity sensing software’, otherwise known as UWave™.

UWave™ works much in the same way as passive infra red (PIR) accept there is no unreliable screen to wave your hand past. Instead we only need to utilise a conductive object such as a tap (see our UWave™ Water Sensor) or an aluminium sheet which in turn acts as a no-touch sensor plate. You simply move your hand towards the metal plate which is mounted on the wall and the flush will begin. As soon as you move your hand away the flush will stop at a ‘low flush cycle’ pre timed interval. If you keep your hand in place past the low flush cycle time period, the WC will keep flushing until you move your hand away. This is a major breakthrough for the industry and is predicted to save millions of gallons of water once in the market.
